Children’s Prices
In 2019 The Children’s Funeral Fund (CFF) was established under The Social Fund (Children’s Funeral Fund for England) Regulations 2019 (the 2019 Regulations). The scheme provides funding for the fees charged for cremation or burial, after 23 July 2019, of a child under the age of 18 or stillborn after the 24th week of pregnancy and must be claimed within 6 months of the date of funeral.
The costs of a child’s funeral will not be passed on to the Funeral Director or family, but will be claimed from this fund by Bereavement Services. More information on the CFF may be found here. Our ‘Child Prices’ shows clearly what may be claimed for children up to the age of 16. For 16 and 17 year olds you will see * next to the price on our adult price lists below if it may be claimed from the CFF.

Please refer to our Children's Price List for the burial or cremation for those children under the age of 18 whose costs can be claimed from The Social Fund (Children's Funeral Fund for England) Regulations 2019 (the 2019 Regulations). All cemetery fees shall be doubled for any person who has no residential address within the Borough of Havering. Non-resident fees shall apply to all cemetery fees if the deceased resided outside of the London Borough of Havering for a period longer than 5 years or more, at the time of their death. If the deceased purchased a grave whilst a resident of the borough, they may be interred as resident.
