Distinctive and Personal

The light and airy South Chapel features a glass balcony allowing a large congregation to feel included in the service. You can ensure that your loved one’s service is unique by designing a Visual Tribute using photos and meaningful music.

The more intimate East Chapel, features a decorative glass panel designed and produced by a local craftsperson.

If you wish to decorate either chapel or one of our wooden easels please contact us so that we can arrange a time for you to do this.

You are welcome to arrange:

  •  bubble machines outside the exit doors to either chapel
  •  the release of doves or butterflies
  •  jazz band; bagpiper; tribute act; soloist
  •  a tribute by friends and members of clubs including bikes; classic cars; morris dancers and uniformed services

We ask families to ensure that any tribute is sensitive and considerate of mourners using other chapels, as well as visitors to the Gardens of Remembrance.  Please let us know in advance so that we can ensure we are ready to help you and please be aware that we may have to refuse requests that impact other service users.

Following the service you will find a dedicated stand on one of our flower terraces for floral tributes to your loved one. These tributes will stay in our grounds for approximately three days unless they are collected by you.

If you prefer to collect donations for a favourite charity you can use our oak donation box and your funeral director can collect any donations at the end of the service on your behalf.

The forms your funeral director or you (if you are organising a funeral yourself) will need, to arrange a cremation can be downloaded below..
